How about when you use a trash bag for trash and another trash bag(the good old hang a trash bag from the door knob trick) for cans at a get together and you end up with trash in your soda cans and soda cans in your trash! Yuck. Nothing worse than sorting through each bag. Well I have a solution for you.

Flings! What are
Flings you ask? Flings are an innovative new line of pop-up disposable trash and recycling containers. They’re designed to make trash and recycling easier – and a little more enjoyable – across a range of uses both around the home and away.

Flings say they blend in recycled materials where possible with their suppliers. Today about 90% of the Flings bin, by volume, is biodegradable. They are currently experimenting with new materials that might get them to 99% biodegradable by year-end. In the meantime, though, they are focused on making sure that the bins are strong and reliable (the primary benefit) and that it’s as easy as possible for consumers to recognize the Recycle bin and increase their recycle participation.
How do Flings work, you ask? They couldn’t be easier. Flings come in a handy compressed state for easy portability. When you get to where you need to, just tear off the paper tape, pop them open, and they’re ready for use. When full, just pull up the skirt, tie with the handy drawstring and toss! In the case of the recycle bin, many consumers like to use it daily inside as their recycling collection point, then dump periodically into their main recycle bin, and re-use.Flings bins come in several designs. From birthday, to BBQ and Holiday, there are many styles to choose from and many uses for the bins.

Flings sent me 2 bins to check out and review. I received a Recycle Bin and a Birthday Bin.
I knew right away I was going to use my new Recycle Flings bin for my Soda cans (For all you fellow Michiganders, do you want to say Pop instead of Soda?). I have a little cubby in my kitchen where I keep my trash can and it fits perfectly behind the trash! Everyone now knows that is where the cans go and I find less cans sitting around my house and kitchen. Even my 2 year old knows where the Soda cans go now! Each Flings Recycle bin holds up to 60 cans and bottles. On average, that’s typically good for about 20 people. Each can that’s recycled versus going to the landfill saves enough energy to power a television for 3 hours. That’s pretty impressive! :)
I am planning on using the Birthday bin for a birthday party this summer for one of my kiddo's parties.
