I will admit to you that I have always had a hard time spending a lot of money on pots and pans! I guess I have a hard time spending a lot of money on anything, that is the frugal side of me. The downside to this is that I feel like you sometimes have to buy a certain item more often because it wears out faster. I learned that lesson by buying cheap flat irons one after another! Never again!

I happen to love the pots and pans (they are my favorite color red) I currently have, but they are non-stick Teflon and you have to be so careful to not scratch them. I have always heard so much about the chemicals that can be released when cooking with non-stick Teflon pans as well. I have been trying to steer my household away from harsh chemicals this past year, but was not sure what to do about my pots and pans.

I was recently sent their 10" Open Skillet! It retails for $99. I love, love, love it! It is sleek and very lightweight. The handle is very easy to hold on to while cooking and does not get hot. The pan itself cooks very evenly and is very deep. You can cook so many different meals in this 10" Open Skillet. I was not sure how it would clean up in the dishwasher after I made Spanish Rice in it the other night, but I stuck it in and it came out all shiny and clean! Bonus, I don't really like having to clean my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher! :)

I really love the fact that cooking in it is very healthy for my family! I mean why go green and start using chemical free cleaners in the kitchen and then cook with a pan that "might" be releasing nasty chemicals in our food?! I am not claiming that I know this for sure, but the reports now days are pointing in that direction

I can see myself buying some Xtrema Cookware in the future. I might not be able to buy it all at once, but can add in a piece here and there! I think that Pots and Pans are one of those places that you might not want to buy cheap.
