Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares Review and Giveaway~Closed~

It's no secret that I love chocolate and caramel or chocolate and peanut butter or, okay I could go on and on! Some of my favorite chocolate is the Ghirardelli Squares! Yummy :)
Imagine how excited I was when I received a package from Ghirardelli! I could hardly contain myself as I ripped open the box.
I started digging through the box, getting more and more excited everytime I found something new! There was Milk & Caramel bars, a bag of Ghirardelli Classic Squares, which includes Dark & Mint, Milk & Caramel and Milk & Peanut Butter, and a bag of Dark Squares, which includes Dark & Raspberry, Dark & Caramel and Dark 60% Cacao!
Now I had a dilema on my hands! Do I hide it and make it last longer or do I share with my hubby and kids? Decisions, decisions! Well, I decided to share with my family because I am just a nice person. ;)
I had to break into the Milk & Caramel first! This is my favorite of all their products! It is creamy, smooth and very rich. The nice thing is that a little goes a long ways, so you don't find yourself eating too much of it, well at least all at once! I shared our bag of Classic Squares with my sister-n-law and her hubby. They were very happy and all agreed that Ghirardelli makes the best Chocolate! The members of my house were very sad when all the yummy Ghirardelli Chocolates were gone. I will have to pick some up the next time I am at the store.

I am excited to tell you about a wonderful Children's book that I recently had a chance to read. It is called "Three Cups" and it is based on a true story. It is written by Mark St. Germain and illustrated by April Willy.
The idea for this book comes from Tony Townsley, CPA. Here is what he has to say about "Three Cups".
As new parents, my wife and I wanted to find a way to teach our children about money, so we agreed on using a weekly allowance to accomplish this. We thought it equally important to teach our children good values as related to money (saving, spending and charity) to help them develop positive habits early on that would last them the rest of their lives. This was when we came up with the idea of using three cups. We've tried to teach our children that it is not how much money you have that is important, it's how you use it. The three cups we have given them have led us on many wonderful adventures together and have brought our family a lot of joy. We hope you will experience the same joy, excitement and success using three cups with your children... and will share the Three Cups story with others.

This book is wonderfully written and illustrated! The pictures are just beautiful. The book starts out introducing you to a young boy who is turning 5 years old. He is given a wonderful present from his parents that promises to take him on many adventures! The present is 3 cups from his parents cupboard. The book then goes on explaining that "One cup is for savings, one cup is for spending and one cup is for charity." You will then follow along with the young boy and his "adventures" of learning to save, spend and give his money to charity!
I would recommend this book to parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and anyone else that has young children in their life.

A couple weeks ago the kind people over at Misikko sent me a Hana Professional Flat Iron 1" in the Pink Edition! Here is the pretty package I received. 
I was already so excited to open the box and once I got inside I could not believe all the extra goodies they included!

Misikko offers all kinds of Hair Straighteners. They have Chi Flat Irons for sale. They also offer the Babyliss flat iron on their site. They sell Curling Irons, Hair Dryers and Hair Care products too! Their site is easy to navigate and their customer service is excellent! I could not believe how quickly my new Flat Iron arrived!
I have been using a flat iron for a few years now. I always struggled with getting my hair straight and smooth. Let me tell you that buying a cheap flat iron is not the way to go! I have very thick, wavy hair that tends to get frizzy on the ends. I would get very frustrated after I left the hair salon and my hair would be perfectly straight and smooth and then the next day I would use my flat iron and I could never achieve the same results! They just never got hot enough to actually straighten my hair! I ended up wearing my hair up in a pony tail a lot because I would give up and my arms would be so sore after struggling with my hair for an hour!
Here is a photo of my hair dry before I used my new flat iron. It is wavy and frizzy. Actually this is a good day! Some days it is out of control. I had finally gotten it cut short because I could not deal with all of my hair.
The flat iron warms up so fast and has adjustable temperature settings. I have to use the highest setting for my type of hair. You can figure out what setting you need to use by reading the handy users guide that comes with your flat iron. This flat iron gets hot, so be careful using it and keep small children away. I used some of the Hana ShineShield Thermal Protectant in my hair before I used the straightener and it made my hair really shiny and smooth!
Here is an after photo! I was home alone so the photos are not that great. This is after only a few minutes using my flat iron. You can achieve different results depending on the temperature setting, how you hold your flat iron and how many times you run it through your hair! 
I am so happy with my hair now. I can't stop running my fingers through it. It is so smooth and straight! It looks like I just stepped out of the salon.
I will never buy another cheap flat iron again! If you add up all the cheap ones I have bought the last couple years, it is probably more than just buying one of best flat irons around! If your in the market for new hair straighteners you need to head over to Misikko and look around. You won't be sorry you did.
